1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the ConnectStar App, you agree to comply with these Terms of Service. If you do not accept them, you must not use the App.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes take effect upon publication. Your continued use of the App constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
2. Definitions
- •"App": The ConnectStar mobile application for iOS and Android
- •"User" or "You": Any person using the App
- •"Content": Texts, images, videos, files, messages you create or share
- •"Services": All services offered through the App
3. User Account
Registration and responsibility
- •You must be at least 13 years old to create an account (or the legal age in your jurisdiction)
- •You are responsible for the confidentiality of your phone number and authentication
- •You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information
- •You are solely responsible for all activity under your account
Account security
- •Do not share your SMS verification code with anyone
- •Report any unauthorised access immediately
- •You agree that ConnectStar is not responsible for unauthorised access resulting from your negligence
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only in a lawful and ethical manner. You must NOT:
- Violate the rights of others (privacy, intellectual property)
- Share illegal, hateful, violent, pornographic or child-exploiting content
- Harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk or bully other users
- Engage in spam, scams, fraud or identity theft
- Hacking, SQL injection, DDoS attacks or sabotage of the system
- Infringe ConnectStar's intellectual property rights
- Upload malware or malicious code
- Circumvent the App's security measures
5. User Content
Content responsibility
You are solely responsible for all content you create, upload, publish or share. ConnectStar is not responsible for content from other users.
Licence granted to ConnectStar
By sharing content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, process and distribute that content through the App. We do not sell your content.
Reporting abuse
If you see content that violates these terms, report it immediately. We will review and take action within 24–48 hours.
6. Intellectual Property
- •The App, including its design, code, texts and logos, is the property of ConnectStar or its licensors
- •These rights are protected by international copyright law
- •You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from the App
- •Integrated biblical verses remain the property of their respective publishers
7. Limitation of Liability
Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free or malware-free.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, ConnectStar will not be liable for:
- •Data loss, indirect damages, loss of profit
- •Damages resulting from viruses, bugs or interruptions
- •Actions or inactions of third-party users
- •Errors in content or biblical verses
Our total liability to you will not exceed the amount you have paid us (if any) over the past 12 months.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and defend us against any claim, dispute, damage or costs arising from your use of the App, violation of these terms, or infringement of a third party's rights.
9. Service Interruption
ConnectStar reserves the right to suspend or close your account and/or access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if:
- •You violate these terms
- •You engage in illegal or unethical activity
- •You threaten the security or functioning of the App
- •We are required to do so by law
10. Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time via Settings → Account → Delete my account
Important: Deletion is permanent and irreversible. We retain certain data for legal reasons for 90 days. Messages in groups remain visible to other members.
11. Fees and Payments
- •ConnectStar is 100% free. No hidden fees
- •Any future purchases (e.g. premium features) will be clearly displayed before payment
- •Payments are processed securely through certified third parties
- •Refunds are subject to the App Store/Google Play policy
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by French law. Disputes will be resolved by the competent French courts.
However, if you reside in the EU, the consumer laws applicable in your country also apply.
13. Dispute Resolution
Before any dispute, we encourage you to contact us at contact.connectstar@gmail.com. We will do our best to resolve issues amicably.
